New Life Food Pantry

Description: Serving grocery relief to our community weekly through a variety of food giveaways. The New Life Food Pantry distributes shelf stable pantry bags to families every 30 days via two drive through distributions held the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays, from 9-11am. Mondays, giveaways of perishable goods (dairy, meat, produce, deli, and baked foods,) are available to any who have need on a weekly basis. For our perishable and other additional popup giveaways, we utilize a texting service to notify all those who opt in to be informed as timely as possible.

Description: Join us for the annual Trick or Treat Street on Halloween, Friday, October 31st from 2 – 5PM! Last year was the largest TOTS ever, with 107 businesses all over the city participating and 1200 kids coming through in their costumes. Businesses are still calling to participate, so the list is still being finalized! If your business would like to get involved, please let us know ASAP! We will email flyers for your front door or window in English and Spanish and add you to the list we will be posting to all the local Facebook pages. We have also once again invited non-profit and civic agencies to have a free info table (NO SALES) on Solano Street during the event, so if you'd like the guidelines for doing that, please contact us, as well. We'd also like to give a huge “Thank you” to Rosie Flores, who started Trick or Treat Street in 2015, and is a former Chamber board member, as well as owner of Yaya's Taco Shop and the Rosie Flores Insurance Agency. She has spent considerable time all these years going into each and every one of these businesses inviting them to participate.
