Description: The City of Corning Recreation and the Corning Chamber of Commerce present the "School Spirit" Tuesday Night Market on September 1, from 5-8PM, Solano between 3rd & 6th Streets. The community is invited to learn more about all the wonderful educational programs and opportunities we have available. The Corning Union Elementary and High School Districts will be joining us, as well as, the Corning Adult School, Expect More Tehama, First 5 Tehama, Northern California Child Development (NCCDI), the Tehama Campus of Shasta College, and SERRF, the Safe Education and Recreation for Rural Families After School Program, Tehama County Dept of Education Early Learning Programs. We have several new vendors joining us, including, Farm-fresh summer veggies from Swager Farms in Gerber, USDA-processed frozen beef from Almond Grazed Proteins, Rico’s Aguas, Aguas con sabor a frutas caseras, aguas con gas. Permanent & Handmade Jewelry from Sacred Link Co., Shingle Shield USA Roofing. There will be a great variety of delicious things to eat with 21 Food & Beverage Trucks & Pop-ups. Beer & Wine is available at the Vault & Co., 1124 Solano. 30 Local Makers, Artists, Producers and Community Nonprofits. Live Music with the Irish Cement Band in front of the Rodgers Theatre. If you visit the library or think the white lines down the middle of the road is a good idea, thank a Woman's Club. The MWC has been serving Corning for 124 years and we are still going strong. The Maywood Women's Club supports many great causes, both locally, nationally and internationally, like the development of the Corning Library, Woodson Park and the Elza King Memorial Scholarship at Corning Union High School. We support Empower Tehama with handmade tote bags of hygiene items for their clients, the Corning Veterans Resource Center, the Manta Rays Swim Team, the Penny Pines Plantation for National Forests, Operation Smile which helps provide free cleft surgery and Free the Girls, an organization devoted to supporting sex trafficking survivors with a path to true freedom.
