LA Fixit Clinic in Malibu
Date: 2026-03-15T20:00:00Z
Description: We often throw away things that stop working and replace them with new ones rather than repairing them. This creates a big problem for our environment because our landfills are filling up too quickly, and electronic waste is a significant source of pollution. To help address this issue, we encourage you to learn to fix things rather than throw them away. Whether it's electronics, appliances, computers, toys, bicycles, clothes, or other items, please bring them to us for assessment, disassembly, and possible repair. We'll provide you with a workspace, specialty tools, and guidance to help you disassemble and identify problems. Even if we cannot fix your item, you'll learn more about how it works and how it was made. This is a family-friendly event, and we welcome children of all ages to join us and learn. Volunteers wanted: we are always looking for menders, fixers, and tinkerers. We hope to see you there!
