Household Hazardous Waste Collection
Date: 2026-05-09
Description: In partnership with San Bernardino County Fire Protection District, the City's Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Program provides residents of Chino and San Bernardino County with a safe and convenient way to dispose common household chemicals free of charge. HHW Collection events are held every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 8 am to 1 pm and closed on the 4th Saturday in December at the Public Works Service Yard. Regularly scheduled events are subject to change. During every visit, participants are limited to dispose 15 gallons or 125 pounds of hazardous materials in containers no larger than 5 gallons. Business waste and sharps are not accepted.

Description: The City of Chino, in partnership with Waste Management, is providing a FREE Residential Community Clean-Up for City of Chino residents from 8:00am - 1:00pm at 13793 Redwood St. Dispose of unwanted tires (maximum of 9 tires per household), appliances, electronics, green waste, concrete, brick, dirt, scrap metal and much more. Vehicles are limited to cars, pick-up trucks, station wagons, vans, and SUVs. No hazardous waste, sharps (needles and syringes), business/commercial waste, and company vehicles will be accepted. Residents with trailers and or enclosed storage trucks will be directed to the transfer station with a voucher for free disposal that can be picked up at the clean-up event. Participants are required to: Bring proof of Chino residency (CA ID & Utility Bill). Come prepared to unload your own items.
