Description: Doheny State Beach invites the community to take part in a Community Beach Cleanup on Saturday, April 18 from 8:00–11:00am, meeting at Doheny State Beach. Participants should park in the furthest parking lot before the bridge and meet at the picnic tables closest to Lifeguard Headquarters. These monthly cleanups are a great way to give back while helping protect our local coastline. Cleanup supplies will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own recycled bags, buckets, gloves, or other supplies to help make the event as zero-waste as possible. All ages are welcome. Parking fees are waived for volunteers, and a parking pass may be picked up from a staff member at the event table. A signed waiver is required to participate and can be completed online at https://www.parks.ca.gov/doheny.

Join Stand Up To Trash for a day of fun on the water, beach and surrounding areas to cleanup our natural world. 8:00-9:00am Yoga on the grass at Baby Beach 9:00-10:30am Beach Cleanup 10:30 Free Lunch & Learn at Ocean Institute. Two places to register, check-in & weigh-in: Baby Beach: Bags and gloves will be provided, reusable gloves encouraged! Arrive early (9am) to use a (single or double) kayak or stand-up-paddleboard for an 'on the water' cleanup provided by Westwind Sailing! (max 4 pieces of equipment per party). Ocean Institute: Bags, buckets and grabbers will be provided, reusable gloves encouraged! Theme: Earth Day (2nd Clothing Swap).
