More informationSummer Music Series: Dan Arwady at Half Moon Bay Brewing Company
Date: 2026-08-16T13:00-07:00
Description: Dan Arwady is a musician, charting songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, living in Pacifica, CA. In 2025, Arwady received an official Grammy Awards Consideration from The Recording Academy for Record of the Year, for his single, "Somebody Else", one of his biggest accolades to date. The single previously hit the charts in the US and the UK for 3 months, peaking at #38 on the Mediabase Top 40 Activator Chart in late May and peaking at #7 on the Music Week UK Commercial Pop Charts. Arwady's follow-up single, "Cold in Memphis", released on June 20 2025, peaked at #35 on the Mediabase Top 40 Activator Chart and spent 5 consecutive weeks in the Top 40. Arwady released his first full-length album, "The Weight of Love", in September 2025, containing both of these singles, as well as 11 other songs. He has been promoting the release with shows and live-on-air radio performances, including appearances on The Summit FM's New Artist Series and WYSO's "Kaleidoscope". This success led to a recent signing with The Administration MP, now the exclusive administrator of Arwady's music. Arwady's lyrics are personal, in that he reflects on stories and events from his life – but at the same time, he strives to make the stories relatable, to allow others to find their own way into his lyrics. “The Weight of Love offers a further demonstration of the prowess that Arwady has at his command," wrote Lee Zimmerman in American Songwriter. "His songs are singular statements that reflect an earnest and engaging point of view, with influences gleaned from the likes of artists like Ray LaMontagne, James Taylor, Paul Simon, and other intrepid troubadours who have taken a similar stance.” There's more to come in the remainder of 2026. Arwady is currently in the process of finishing his second record, with production expected to wrap on 10 new songs in September 2026. He is continuously writing, performing, and recording, and can be found road-testing his new material in front of crowds along the California coastside and in the Midwest.

More informationJOHN PIZZARELLI Presents "Dear Mr. Bennett” at Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society
Date: 2026-09-13T16:30-07:00
Description: Grammy-winning producer, guitarist and vocalist John Pizzarelli celebrates the centennial of iconic singer Tony Bennett with a pair of heartfelt tributes. Dear Mr. Bennett, released March 3, 2026 via Green Hill Music, features Pizzarelli’s trio with bassist Mike Karn and pianist Isaiah J. Thompson performing timeless songs made famous by Bennett. A 5-song EP is scheduled for release on August 7, the week of Bennett’s 100th birthday. For world-renowned guitarist and vocalist John Pizzarelli, Bennett was more than simply an influence. Pizzarelli’s late father, the revered guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli, was a frequent sideman for the legendary singer, appearing on albums including 1960’s To My Wonderful One and 1969’s I’ve Gotta Be Me. John got his own opportunity to accompany Bennett for a radio broadcast that also featured pianist Ralph Sharon and bassist Jay Leonhart. The admiration was mutual – Bennett could be found in the audience for a number of Pizzarelli’s performances and sketched his likeness on two occasions. The charming artwork that graces the cover of Pizzarelli’s heartfelt new tribute album, Dear Mr. Bennett, was rendered during an engagement at Feinstein’s nightclub. John Pizzarelli – Vocals, Guitar; Isaiah J. Thompson – Piano; Michael Karn – Bass Advance ticketing: Adults $60/$50, Students $23/$12 (25 & under with ID) Get Tickets
