Monday Morning Book Club

Description: Join us for a discussion of The Indigo Girl by Natasha Boyd. Two companion exhibitions developed in partnership with the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe of the San Francisco Bay Area, San José State University Dept. of Anthropology, and New Museum Los Gatos highlight Muwekma Ohlone cultural practices, land stewardship, and their ongoing efforts to restore their federal recognition.

Description: July's theme is "seeds"! Each month we have a theme that you are free to interpret however you'd like. Choose a recipe to make from one of the many cookbooks or other resources in our collection- don't worry, we'll have plenty of suggestions for you! Then we'll meet to talk about books and cooking and enjoy each other's company. Photos of your finished dish are encouraged but not required. In celebration of this year's Summer Reading theme, Plant a Seed, Read we'll be preparing dishes with seeds! You can can sprinkle some pepitas into a salad, swirl some poppyseeds into a batch of muffins or scones, whip up a chia seed pudding, blitz some sesame seeds into tahini or hummus, add some cardamom to your morning coffee, sprinkle some bagel seasoning on your eggs, or use any number of seeds any number of ways. And don't forget to sign up for Summer Reading for your chance to win fun prizes! Description: The Planning Commission performs duties and exercises power and authority with regard to planning, subdivisions, zoning, zoning administration and other land use regulatory controls as prescribed by ordinance and state law. The Planning commission consists of seven (7) residents of the Town of Los Gatos, each serving a 4-year term. Applicants are asked by Council to demonstrate knowledge of the Town Code and its land use and planning policies. The Commission has several standing committees and individual Planning Commissioners also represent the commission on a number of Council-appointed committees. Committee terms are for 1 year and are appointed by the Planning Commission Chair. The Planning Commission meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, in the Town Council Chambers at 7pm. Commission meetings are broadcast live on KCAT-15. Live and archived videos are also available online. All meetings are open to the public.
