Description: UPDATE: Both Classes Are Full. Thank You! You've got a sourdough starter, and perhaps made bread with varying degrees of success...or maybe you've been hesitant to try, looking for the secrets to creating perfect sourdough loaves. Join Tulare County Master Food Preservers for a supersized 2-hour class on the ins and outs of making sourdough breads. We'll cover the basics about caring for sourdough starter, and provide our experience-based tips and tricks to baking delicious, nutritious, beautiful sourdough loaves. Participants will make a sourdough to bake at home. Although it is not mandatory, this class is geared towards those who have previously attended the library’s Master Food Preservers’ Intro to Sourdough class, or anyone with beginning sourdough experience. Ages 18+. All materials are provided. Notice: This class will be offered on May 21st as well as May 23rd; the classes are the same. You may sign up for one or the other, but not both. Description: 2026 marks the 66th Cotton Festival held in Corcoran. This long-time family, friend and farming tradition brings all of Corcoran out to celebrate. The day kicks off with a parade down Whitley Avenue, followed by a day-long celebration at the RAC of carnival rides, live entertainment, eating contests, food, craft and information vendors. The evening concludes with a dance under the evening stars with music provided by August Band. A beer and wine garden is available throughout the day.
