Sierra Foothills Audubon Society and Grass Valley Charter School invite you to “For the Love of Birds,” a free, family-friendly afternoon featuring two live birds of prey: a Swainson’s Hawk and a Harris’s Hawk. Wildlife biologist and author Linda Tuttle-Adams and licensed raptor rehabilitator and educator Kim Franza will share fascinating stories, photos, and insights into the lives and behaviors of these remarkable raptors. You’ll also have the chance to meet these avian ambassadors up close and discover what makes hawks such incredible—and important—members of our ecosystems. Whether you’re a lifelong birder or simply curious about the wild creatures soaring above us, this is a chance to learn, ask questions, and experience the “wow” of seeing a raptor in person. Free and open to all ages. Drop in anytime between 4:30 and 6:00 p.m.!
