More informationHillmen Foundation Big Day of Giving Kickoff Party!
Date: 2026-04-23T17:00:00
Description: Join Us for the Hillmen Foundation Big Day of Giving Kickoff Party! We’re excited to kick off our most important fundraiser of the year in support of Placer High School and the Auburn community. All are welcome! This complimentary event brings together alumni, parents, and community supporters for an evening of connection and purpose. Guests will be treated to one free beverage and a hosted appetizer bar. On April 23, the first day of early giving, we encourage guests to make a gift of any size. Thanks to the generosity of Dutch Bros Coffee and an anonymous donor, all gifts will be matched dollar for dollar up to $15,000. Support from our community helps the Hillmen Foundation, an independent nonprofit founded in 1989, provide critical funding for academics, athletics, and student activities, ensuring students have the resources they need to succeed. 100% of donations supports our mission to enrich Placer High for our community.

Forest Sun and his band in concert
Date: 2026-04-25T19:30:00
Description: Singer-songwriter Forest Sun will be performing with his band, featuring an outstanding lineup of musicians: Gawain Mathews on lead guitar (Mickey Hart Band, Tony Furtado Band), Aaron Germain on electric and upright bass (Bonnie Raitt, Stanley Jordan), and Aaron Kierbel on drums (Rupa and the April Fishes, Jazz Mafia). Forest Sun is an award-winning Americana singer-songwriter and creative artist whose soulful, genre-blending music draws on folk, gospel, soul, reggae, and country roots. Born in upstate New York to folk-singing, back-to-the-land parents, he developed his musical voice early and later became a pioneer of the DIY music scene—recording his first album in his San Francisco bedroom and building a global following through heartfelt storytelling and intimate performances.
