Date: 2026-09-19T17:30:00-07:00
Description: We’re HOME! Come celebrate with us on Saturday, September 19, from 5:30–7:00 p.m. as The Floathouse Petaluma marks its return to our home in the downtown Petaluma Turning Basin. Join us on The Floathouse dock for small bites, beverages, live music by The Incubators, and plenty of big smiles. Hear what we’ve been up to this summer, get a preview of our fall and winter plans—and find out how you can be part of what comes next. Friends, donors, volunteers, customers, neighbors, the curious and the simply river-loving are all welcome. Bring a friend, meet your river community, and enjoy the view from the geographic and cultural heart of Petaluma. It’s been a long two years sitting over by the historic trestle, and while the visibility from the Balshaw Footbridge has been terrific, we’re very happy to be home. Come raise a glass with us, share some snacks, and celebrate Petaluma’s Longest Park—and all the ways we can keep putting butts in boats and smiles on faces.

More informationWine and Dine with MacLaren Wines
Date: 2026-09-24T17:00:00
Description: Our monthly Wine and Dine series brings the vineyard to your table—and this month, we're welcoming a producer built on a single obsession: cool-climate Syrah. MacLaren Wines takes its name from winemaker Steve Law's Scottish clan—a fitting tribute for a project rooted in identity and place. A native Scot, Steve's path to wine wound through Paris, Burgundy, Bordeaux, and the Loire before the northern Rhône Valley took hold of him for good, and it was the wines of Saint-Joseph and Côte-Rôtie that sealed his fate as a Syrah devotee. After cutting his teeth in Dry Creek Valley, he and his wife Heather bottled their first vintage in 2007—a bold, full-bodied Dry Creek Syrah that set them searching for something more elegant. That search led them to the fog-cooled corners of Sonoma County's Russian River and Bennett Valleys, where MacLaren has spent nearly two decades crafting Rhône-inspired wines that speak to place over trend. Today, from their home base in Kenwood, MacLaren has built a reputation as one of California's most focused producers of cool-climate Syrah, alongside Viognier, Roussanne, and Pinot Noir. "I don't really follow the trends," Steve has said. "Whether it's fashionable or not, Syrah is my favorite grape, and that's why I'm making it." For $110 per person, you're getting a seat at the table with one of Sonoma's most singularly focused winemakers—told by the person who's spent nearly twenty years chasing it—alongside a seasonal menu built to meet every glass where it is. Space is limited. Reserve your spot HERE and come taste what an obsession with the Rhône looks like in the glass.
