National Night Out
Date: 2026-08-04T06:00:00
Description: It’s time to gather with neighbors, meet the people behind the badge, and celebrate community at this year’s National Night Out. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to help create safer, more connected communities. Residents are encouraged to come together to host block parties, barbecues, ice cream socials, festivals, and other neighborhood gatherings that strengthen local connections and build relationships with public safety personnel. Neighborhoods across the island are encouraged to host gatherings on their block, in their driveways, or throughout their neighborhood. Most importantly, invite your neighbors to come out and connect. Residents can also request a visit from the Alameda Police Department and Alameda Fire Department. Due to high demand, visit requests are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Start planning your neighborhood gathering and join communities across Alameda in celebrating National Night Out!
