Description: <strong><span style="color: rgb(41, 105, 176); font-size: 18px;">EVENT STAFF WILL REMOVE HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS AND ELECTRONIC WASTE (HHW AND E-WASTE) FROM YOUR TRUNK/PICK-UP BED.</span></strong> Properly dispose of certain types of household hazardous waste (HHW) and electronic waste. All containers must be clearly labeled to identify the contents. Maximum amount of paint/motor oil accepted is 15 gallons or 125 pounds per trip. Participants are strongly encouraged to remain in their vehicles. Location: 23825 Stuart Ranch Road (Malibu City Hall) Time: 10am-2pm Accepted materials list: Paint (water-based only), Used motor oil, Anti-freeze, Automotive and household batteries, Compact fluorescent bulbs (unbroken), Electronics. The City schedules its events on the 3rd Saturday in February, April, June, August, and October. Rain cancels event. Future events are scheduled for: August 15, 2026, October 17, 2026 (with document shredding).

Description: The Malibu City Council meets regularly on the second and fourth Monday of every month. HOW TO VIEW THE MEETING: The meeting will be live streamed at www.malibucity.org/video and via Zoom Webinar. HOW TO PARTICIPATE BEFORE THE MEETING: Members of the public are encouraged to submit email correspondence to citycouncil@malibucity.org before the meeting begins. HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN-PERSON DURING THE MEETING: In order to participate in person, each speaker must complete and submit to the Recording Secretary a Request to Speak form. In-person participants may also surrender their opportunity to speak on a particular item to defer one minute to another in-person speaker. Meeting room doors will open 30 minutes before the meeting. HOW TO PARTICIPATE REMOTELY DURING THE MEETING: The City has been experiencing extreme technical issues with its broadcast and zoom capabilities. It is strongly recommended that those who wish to participate do so in person as zoom participation is not guaranteed. While the City intends to allow zoom participation if possible, the meeting will not be cancelled or continued if technical difficulties impact the ability to accept public participation over Zoom. In such case only in-person participation will be allowed. In order to participate remotely, you must be present in the Zoom Webinar during the item that you would like to speak on and use the Raise Hand feature to request to speak when the Mayor calls the item. When you join the Zoom Webinar you may see a pop-up asking you to enter an email address, but a valid email address is not required.

Description: Join a unique all-ability dedicated swim time. Sensory Swim provides a supportive, lower-stimulation aquatic environment designed for individuals with disabilities, sensory sensitivities, and adaptive recreation needs, along with their caregivers. Participants can expect a quieter and more relaxed recreational setting with reduced noise levels and smaller participant numbers. Swimmers are required to pass a swim test, or have a responsible supervisor join them in the water. Sensory Swim is not intended to serve as a recreational swim time for families, but rather as a dedicated swim time for individuals with disabilities and sensory needs. Inclusive Recreation programs provide access to recreational classes and activities for individuals with disabilities and diverse backgrounds. These programs aim to remove barriers to participation, promote social connection, and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to engage in meaningful recreational experiences. It is always recommended that parents/caregivers stay with the participants during these programs to provide staff with assistance. Pre-registration required.
