This year’s ShakeOut will take place on Thursday, October 16, at 10:16 a.m., when millions across the region will simultaneously “Drop, Cover, and Hold On”. The drill scenario is a 'simulated' 7.8 magnitude earthquake striking on the San Andreas fault developed by seismologists and experts. The drill is organized by partners at the Earthquake Country Alliance and reflects very real and massive impacts that such an event would have on our City.
