More informationKCHCC Invites The Community To Celebrate Life and Culture at the Annual Dia de Los Muertos Celebration, Sunday, November 5
Date: 2026-11-05T13:00:00-08:00
Description: The Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (KCHCC) continues the tradition of celebrating Dia de Los Muertos with its annual event this Sunday, November 5, at the Kern County Fairgrounds from 1-7 PM. The event is a celebration of life, love and death, which originated in Mexico but has also taken root in American culture. As part of the tradition, friends and families use this time to honor deceased loved ones by paying tribute to them in the form of memorial altars that display their loved ones’ favorite mementos such as photos, food and drinks. Dia de Los Muertos is considered a day of cheerful celebration rather than one of mourning.

Description: Spreading Help Around You is a Non-Profit organization and was established in 2014 in honor of Shaylyn Anela Pinoliar who tragically passed away on November 14, 2012. We have helped families at the time of loss as well as provided care packages to the homeless, donated and helped families in need during the holiday season. We have since started SHAY Scholarship Program to provide financial assistance to students who demonstrate athletic talent, a commitment to sportsmanship, and the potential to succeed academically and athletically.
