Description: Join us on the farm for a wonderful day of yoga, and farm-to-table dining at Pie Ranch with yoga teacher Disha Gupta. This one day yoga retreat at lovely Pie Ranch is an invitation to reconnect with our inner selves and cultivate a more compassionate relationship with our bodies, minds, our communities and the land. We'll gather on the farm with warm beverages and begin the day with an active morning vinyasa class, exploring a full body mindful flow - a dynamic yet accessible practice that builds strength, flexibility, and awareness. With a slow start and a non-rushing mindset, we'll prepare the body and mind for deeper transitions and new possibilities. Brunch is a farm-to-table vegetarian meal straight from the fields prepared by Pie Ranch's very own Chef Linh Vong. After brunch, we'll join for a pie baking lesson with seasonal fruits! If you'd rather take time to rest, reflect, or connect, please feel free to practice intentional downtime before the afternoon class. We'll close the day with an afternoon gentle, restorative practice, designed to encourage deep listening, release tension, and nourish the nervous system. This practice will include a thoughtfully guided, deeply grounding asana flow, where we'll integrate somatic practices, self-inquiry, and breath mantras to help us tune into our body’s wisdom. This session invites you to unwind and integrate the day's movement with breath, stillness, and deep relaxation. We’ll wrap by gathering in the meadow to enjoy our freshly-baked pies in the meadow! Description: Wendell Berry is a writer, poet, teacher, farmer, and outspoken citizen of an endangered world, who us a compelling vision of the good and true life. A fierce and caring critic of American culture and a long-time trusted guide for those seeking a better, healthier, saner world, he has farmed a hillside in his native Henry County, Kentucky, together with his wife, for more than forty years. Filmed across four seasons in the farming cycle, LOOK & SEE blends observational scenes of farming life, interviews with farmers and community members with evocative, carefully framed shots of the surrounding landscape. Thus, in the spirit of Berry’s agrarian philosophy, Henry County itself will emerge as a character in the film - a place and a landscape that is deeply interdependent with the people that inhabit it. Join Sara Farooqi, founder of Interdependence Lab, for an interactive workshop exploring these questions through the lens of Islamic mystical poetry and the 99 Divine Names. What to Expect: Learn about the Islamic tradition and spiritual frameworks that inspired some of the world’s greatest poets, including Mawlana Rumi. From Past Participants… “I love poetry, so of course I signed up for the workshop… It was a comforting, educational space, and I felt like there were still good people in the world. I felt like people still cared and had reverence. If that's something you value, I'd highly recommend this workshop with Sara.” – Fi Kahani “The 99 Names poetry workshop was a powerful and transformative experience. It offered a meaningful space to reflect deeply, connect with others, and explore profound themes of humanity, oneness, and unity.
