Description: Join us at monca for another incredible West Coast Swing dance class series hosted by local dancer and choreographer, Ray Hayes! This series will focus on implementing choreography as well as refining intermediate dance skills. Each week is structured with three classes to accommodate different skill levels. Participants are welcome to join for all three sessions or the first two sessions if they are beginning their dance journey. Folks must have previous West Coast Swing Dance experience to participate effectively in the choreography session. One class ticket includes all three sessions. Weekly Schedule: 6:00-6:45PM - intro session* 6:45-7:30PM - all levels session* 7:30-8:30PM - choreography session (requires knowledge of WCS basics) *absolute beginners welcome. By the end of the series, students will increase their proficiency in the foundational basics of West Coast Swing. If you are a seasoned dancer, you can benefit from these classes by solidifying your technique and learning how to modify your dance with partners of varying skill levels. Variations will be added for those seeking more of a challenge. Participants do not need to come with a dancing partner, as partnerships will be randomized and folks will dance with many different partners per class. If you would like to attend the entire class and social dance, tickets are $20 per person. If you are interested in just the social dance, tickets are $10 per person. We encourage you to bring friends or family and make a special evening out of these terrific dance sessions. People of all backgrounds are welcome to join and learn more about dance!
