Poway Symphony Orchestra Concert: "Mendelssohn Classics"
The Poway Symphony Orchestra will present "Mendelssohn Classics" on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at the Poway Center for Performing Arts. Under the baton of Conductor John LoPiccolo, this program features two masterpieces by Felix Mendelssohn that are elegant, expressive and brimming with Romantic spirit. The concert opens with the dramatic Symphony No. 5 (“Reformation”), filled with majestic themes and sweeping orchestral writing. the centerpiece of the concert is Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E Minor, a jewel of the violin repertoire, known for its soaring melodies and virtuosic brilliance. The dynamic violinist YuEun Gemma Kim, praised for her vibrant artistry, joins as guest soloist. Also on the program is Beethoven's Overture to Fidelio.

This event is a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow chamber members, local entrepreneurs, and community leaders. Enjoy food (drinks are available for purchase), networking, prizes, and a chance at the Rollover Jackpot! Free for Chamber members and first-time guests; $25 for returning guests. Registration is required for this event. A $10 late fee will apply if registering within 2 days of the event, and a $10 walk-in fee will also be enforced for those who do not register in advance.
