Redondo Beach: District 1 Newsletter for September 21, 2025

Redondo Beach
District 1 Newsletter for Sept. 15th, 2025
๐ฌ Brad Waller โ District 1 Newsletter
September 15โ22, 2025
Dear Neighbors,
This week reminded me of why local government matters most โ from celebrating a century of learning at Beryl Heights Elementary, to pressing for progress on long-delayed infrastructure projects, to welcoming you into community spaces that keep Redondo strong. Itโs a good reminder that what we build and protect together today is what our kids and neighbors will enjoy tomorrow.
Below youโll find updates, events, and ways you can get involved.
โ Public Safety & Civic Life
๐น Avenue A Pedestrian Ramp โ Still Pushing Forward
I hear your frustration with the Avenue A ramp project โ I share it. Progress has been slow because the County is in charge, not the City, but Iโm in ongoing communication with my County counterparts. Safe coastal access is not optional; itโs essential. Iโll keep pressing to move this forward faster.

๐น Perry Park Teen Center โ Re-Opening Party
Youth spaces are about safety, mentorship, and joy. On Sept. 25, come see the refreshed Teen Center and meet the partners who made it happen. Bring a friend โ or your drummer (thank you, School of Rock!).

Thank you for being part of our Redondo Beach story. Every project, celebration, and neighborly moment adds up to something bigger โ a city that feels connected, safe, and proud of its future.
